Bookkeeper/Accountant for Farrell Flynne - a US-based premier FFE procurement company specializing in collaborating with real estate developers (remote)

We are a small team of three, and while we value collaboration, we also need someone who can handle responsibilities independently, especially in the absence of our current bookkeeper. 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our small, dedicated team. The ideal candidate will take charge of our bookkeeping and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage bookkeeping and accounting functions, including generating purchase orders and tying incoming invoices to ensure accuracy and cleanliness of financial records.

• Review all credit card transactions to purchase orders to ensure accuracy of job related costs.

• Record credit card transactions related to existing purchase orders.

• Alert project managers when credit card transactions exist where there is no purchase order or vendor.

• Ensure the accuracy of customer records, including address and sales tax jurisdictions.

• Selective Accounts Receivable follow up with clients.

• Responsible for collection of vendor W9 forms.

• Work closely with our third-party bookkeeping service for onboarding and ongoing support.
  

• Collaborate with team members to resolve any accounting-related questions or issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a small business environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting software.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative, with minimal supervision.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Self-motivation and proactiveness in identifying and addressing challenges.

• Experience in handling a high volume of transactions and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

• Flexible and adaptable, willing to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

Working hours:

The Bookkeeper/Accountant position requires a commitment of full-time or part-time hours, depending on the candidate's experience and availability. Candidates are expected to be available during standard business hours, ideally from 9 AM to 5 PM New York time (EST, you may check the time difference via the link) to facilitate collaboration with the team and external partners. We understand the need for flexibility and are open to accommodating varied schedules, especially for highly experienced candidates who can manage their responsibilities effectively in a part-time capacity.

What we offer:

• Part-time (4 working hours per day) or full-time job (8 working hours per day), Monday-Friday.

• Remote work. This position is remote, allowing you to manage your time effectively while ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
