Senior Backend Developer at a US-based AI-driven influencer marketing platform (remote)

We (company name will be shared during private conversations, with a big announcement coming soon) are an innovative influencer marketing platform transforming how brands engage with micro and nano influencers. Our AI-powered solution helps brands connect with the right creators, enabling them to streamline campaigns, manage content, and track performance with ease. Currently expanding across the MENA region and the US, we are now looking for a Senior Backend Developer to drive our platform’s scalability and reliability.

Founded by Alex Gadalin, Vito Strokov, Rami Saad, and Justin Krup, our company is revolutionizing influencer marketing by bridging the gap between brands and micro-influencers. Alex, Vito, Rami, and Justin each bring a wealth of experience in engineering, product development, and business strategy, creating a platform that makes influencer campaigns accessible and effective for brands of all sizes.

About the role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and scaling our backend systems, primarily using Python, Django, and AWS. You’ll build and maintain robust APIs, optimize data storage with Postgres and ClickHouse, and work within a service-oriented architecture. Your work will directly support our AI-driven matching system, making influencer marketing seamless for brands.

Key responsibilities:

Develop scalable backend solutions: Architect and implement APIs and service-oriented structures to support a high volume of influencers and campaigns.
Collaborate on AI/ML integration: Work closely with our ML engineers to implement algorithms for influencer matching, sentiment analysis, and data processing.
Enhance backend performance: Improve backend performance and security, ensuring reliability and speed for a growing user base.
Manage data storage and integrity: Oversee and optimize Postgres and ClickHouse databases, ensuring data consistency, quick access, and reliable reporting.
Drive backend projects: Take full ownership of backend projects, ensuring they align with product goals and integrate smoothly with other parts of our stack.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in backend development with Python and Django.
Proficiency with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) and experience deploying and scaling web applications on cloud infrastructure.
Strong expertise in relational databases, particularly Postgres, with a solid understanding of database optimization and management.
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization (Docker).
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
