Sales Engineer (English & Portuguese required) for for Veryfi - US-based startup processing financial documents with AI (remote)

In this role, you will be the primary technical point of contact during the sales lifecycle, working closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams to drive adoption of Veryfi’s AI-powered document processing solutions. You’ll help prospects understand our APIs, lead product demonstrations, and ensure smooth onboarding.
Responsibilities
Act as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process—from prospecting to onboarding.
Conduct technical product demonstrations, proof of concepts (PoCs), and pilot implementations to showcase Veryfi’s capabilities.
Gather and document customer technical requirements and success metrics.
Manage and prioritize technical issues, creating tickets in JIRA and collaborating with internal teams to resolve sales blockers.
Lead customer onboarding sessions, ensuring seamless product adoption.
Work closely with sales, customer success, and product teams to provide technical expertise and drive customer success.
Capture and communicate product feedback to enhance Veryfi’s offerings.
Contribute to technical documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience at:
Supporting technical aspects of the sales process such as product demonstrations, evaluations, proof of concepts, and pilots.
Leading technical discussions to educate customers on Veryfi products and usage.
Applying intelligent document processing to solve a variety of business issues.
Analyzing and tuning performance of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based solution.
Building the foundation for deep and lasting relationships with the technical champions within a client organization.
Identifying and documenting the technical path to grow and expand customer usage over time.
Coordinating internal resources to resolve technical issues blocking sales opportunities.
Capturing and communicating product feedback and industry requirements.
Must have:
4+ years of startup experience.
Technical experience esp. with APIs.
Preferred experience:
5+ years as a sales engineer in a B2B SaaS company.
Accountability and personal organization are essential.
Effective communications skills via email, phone, and online meetings.
Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive relationships with both customer facing teams and internal teams.
Working knowledge of SaaS platforms and Application Programming Interfaces.
Experience building and optimizing Customer Success processes is a plus.
Experience with HubSpot, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Coding experience in Python and using APIs.
Working hours:
This is a remote position with an opportunity to work from 9 am to 5 pm in any US time zone, whether it’s EST, CST, or PST (you may check the time difference via the link)
