Analyst (Underwriting & Capital Markets) at Quantum Capital Partners
📌 Job Title: Analyst (Underwriting & Capital Markets)
Company: Quantum Capital Partners (QCP) – quantumcp.com
Location: Remote (Latin America preferred, full overlap with U.S. Pacific Time required)
🏢 About Quantum Capital Partners:
Quantum Capital Partners (QCP) is a boutique commercial real estate finance firm specializing in mortgage brokerage and structured finance. With decades of experience and a loyal client base, we originate and place debt across all asset classes — including multifamily, retail, office, hospitality, and industrial — working with a wide network of lenders nationwide.
We are a lean, entrepreneurial team that values speed, precision, and trust. Every member of our firm is client-facing and deeply involved in driving deals forward.
🎯 About the Role:
We’re seeking an Analyst to strengthen our underwriting and deal execution capacity. You’ll be the point person for onboarding new financing opportunities: collecting and validating information, building financial models, pressure-testing assumptions, and preparing professional lender packages.
This role requires someone who is not only technically strong but also proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating with lenders, clients, and our internal team. You will directly influence which financing structures we pursue — and how effectively we secure them.
👉 This role is for someone who wants to be an integral part of a lean, high-performing team — not a back-office function. You’ll work side by side with the partners, directly influencing the success of QCP’s deals and relationships.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Underwriting & Analysis
Underwrite a high volume of commercial real estate deals across multiple asset classes (multifamily, retail, office, hospitality, industrial, development, bridge/permanent loans).
Build and maintain detailed cash flow models, sensitivity analyses, debt sizing, and return metrics.
Quickly identify key risks, missing data, and critical deal assumptions.
- Lender Packaging & Execution
Prepare lender-ready materials: investment memos, financing packages, and tailored presentations.
Interface with lenders: send out deals, answer questions, track feedback, and coordinate next steps.
Support negotiations and refinements through the financing process.
- Research & Market Intelligence
Use CoStar, title databases, and other CRE sources to pull comps, market data, and transaction history.
Research lender activity and track relevant market players.
- Process & Team Support
Keep Salesforce and internal trackers up to date with deal activity.
Support partners with ad hoc requests: property research, call prep, task follow-ups.
Contribute to improving workflows and reusing/recycling model templates efficiently.
🧠Requirements:
2–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial real estate underwriting (U.S. market preferred).
Strong financial modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets (cash flows, IRR, debt sizing, waterfall structures).
Direct exposure to multiple property types (multifamily, retail, office, industrial, hospitality).
Ability to prepare clear, lender-facing investment memos and packages (writing is secondary to numbers but must be professional and concise).
Familiarity with tools such as CoStar and Salesforce.
Comfortable managing multiple deals at once in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Excellent English (written and spoken) and ability to communicate with clients and lenders directly.
Proactive, trustworthy, and organized — you take initiative and own your work.
⏰ Working Hours:
Required: Full overlap with 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST (Monday–Friday).
Expect fast turnarounds and high responsiveness during working hours.
đź’Ľ What We Offer:
Full-time role (40 hours per week).
Fully remote: you just need a computer to work from and an opportunity to adjust your working hours to 9-5 PST.
Direct impact: your underwriting and lender interactions will directly influence multimillion-dollar financing outcomes.
Close collaboration with senior partners and exposure to the full deal cycle.
Entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment with opportunities to grow into a core team member.
Compensation in USD, discussed during interviews.
🧠Selection Process:
Initial interview with Hire5 Recruiter.
Submission of a past underwriting model – you’ll be asked to share a financial model you’ve built in the past (could be anonymized if needed).
Interview with QCP partners.
Final stage: model-building assignment – you’ll build out a cash flow model from scratch for a sample deal provided by QCP.
