Fractional Growth Lead at Royal Moving & Storage Inc. - a US-based moving company helping individuals and businesses with full-service residential, commercial, and long-distance relocation and storage solutions (remote)
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, Royal Moving & Storage Inc. is one of Southern California's top-rated moving companies, trusted by thousands of families and businesses. The company operates five branches — Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Austin.
With a strong focus on service quality and customer experience, Royal Moving & Storage Inc. supports clients through every step of the moving process and delivers a full suite of services including local moves, long-distance relocations, storage, packing/unpacking, and commercial moves. The team is committed to making complex moves simple, efficient, and well-organized, even under tight timelines or high-volume demand.
The founder is hands-on and technically savvy — the stack is well-instrumented with a CRM, call tracking, and AI tooling already in place. Growth is driven by Yelp, Thumbtack, LSA, Google Map Pack, and organic SEO. One external SEO agency is currently engaged on a bi-weekly cadence.
The role
The company is in a solid operational place but the CEO is carrying the full marketing function alongside everything else. He needs someone to take ownership of the growth infrastructure: build out a unified dashboard, own the reporting layer, manage the SEO agency relationship, and bring a strategic eye to what's working and what should shift.
This is a fractional engagement — 15 to 20 hours per week — with a real path to full-time for the right person.
What the path looks like:
Months 1–3: Fractional (15–20 hrs/week) — build the dashboard, own reporting, run first experiments
Month 3+: Full-time conversion based on performance and mutual fit
Long-term: Senior growth leadership role as the company scales across new markets
What you'll own
Marketing dashboard — build and maintain a single source of truth across all channels (Yelp, Thumbtack, LSA, SEO, Google Maps). This is the primary 90-day deliverable.
Channel performance analysis — track metrics across all active channels, identify where budget should move, and deliver clear weekly/monthly reports to the founder.
SEO agency management — own the bi-weekly syncs and monthly reporting relationship with the external SEO agency. Review their outputs, hold them accountable to KPIs, and flag gaps.
Email marketing — contribute to email strategy and content direction (currently handled internally; this person brings structure and a strategic layer).
Website CRO — WordPress site is managed by the agency, but you'll identify A/B testing opportunities, propose conversion improvements, and track results. No redesign — focused iteration.
Budget recommendations — analyse which sources are performing, where CPL is too high, and where to reallocate. Budget decisions are approved by the founder; you bring the data and the case.
What Success Looks Like — First 90 Days
Marketing dashboard is live, accurate, and actively used by leadership for decisions.
All channel data is clean, attributed, and segmented by market.
At least one A/B test is running on the website with measurable results.
Weekly and monthly reporting cadence is established and maintained.
Budget recommendations based on channel performance have been delivered.
Who you are
You have hands-on experience with local SEO — technical and content sides. You understand Google Map Pack, citation building, and how local intent differs from national SEO.
You've worked with LSA, Yelp, or Thumbtack before — not just aware of them, but have actually managed spend or performance on these platforms.
You're comfortable owning a marketing dashboard from scratch — pulling data from multiple sources, structuring it clearly, and making it decision-ready.
You have experience managing an agency or contractor relationship — running syncs, reviewing deliverables, and pushing back when outputs fall short.
You understand email marketing strategy — not just sending campaigns, but thinking about cadence, segmentation, and what drives conversions for a service business.
You have a good eye for website CRO — you spot friction in a funnel and know how to test your way to better conversion without a full redesign.
You're a self-starter — you come in, assess what's missing, create the work structure yourself, and deliver without needing to be managed.

Fluent English — written and spoken
Nice to have
Background in moving, cleaning, landscaping, or other local home services
Experience managing multi-location brands across US markets
Familiarity with call tracking tools (e.g. CallRail)

Working hours:
To make sure you can collaborate with the founder and internal team based in the US, we'll need you to be available from 9 am to 12 pm Pacific Time on weekdays (check your time zone via this link). Outside of this window, your schedule is flexible — you manage your own time and deliver results autonomously. These three hours are the core active window for syncs, reviews, and quick decisions.
What we offer:
— Fractional engagement starting at 15–20 hours per week, with a clear and expected path to full-time conversion within 3 months based on performance and mutual fit.
— Fully remote work. You may be based in almost any country or city — all we need is a great internet connection, a reliable setup, and availability from 9 am to 12 pm Pacific Time on weekdays.
— Direct access to the founder. You will work closely with Vlad, report directly to him, and have real influence over growth strategy across five US markets. No layers, no bureaucracy.
— Ownership from day one. You will not be executing someone else's plan — you will be building the reporting framework, shaping the channel strategy, and running experiments with meaningful budget implications.
— A business with real traction. Royal Moving & Storage has a strong organic presence and zero dependency on PPC. The foundation is solid — your job is to scale it.
— Salary is paid in USD, your expectations will be discussed during the interview.
